Abilio Lucena is a Professor at the
Business Administration Department of the Federal University of Rio de
Janeiro. He received a Ph.D. degree from Imperial College,
London, and, after that, has been a Visiting Professor at Erasmus
University (Rotterdam), a Research Fellow at the Center for Operations
Research and Econometrics (Louvain-la-Neuve), and a Senior Research
Fellow at Imperial College. His main research interest is in
combinatorial optimization, an area in which he authored many research
papers. He has been a consultant for the airline and petroleum
industries.
